Advanced manufacturing and low carbon green energy projects are becoming established in a number of key sites as part of the Cheshire Science Corridor Enterprise Zone around Ellesmere Port. Significant sites include Aviator Park, Thornton Science Park and Protos which are offering both rate relief and capital allowances.
The Council has purchased Winsford Cross shopping centre to complement its other land ownerships and is working on plans to redesign and redevelop it to meet the future needs of the town’s residents. Northwich town centre is the subject of a public consultation which will influence its future redevelopment.
Businesses which would prefer to establish their bases away from our town centre have the opportunity to do so in established business parks. Gadbrook and Cheshire Business Parks are an example of the some of the sites in our borough which offer design and building opportunities for the office market and are already home to Barclays Bank , Holidaybreak and the Hut Group.
Elsewhere, two key rural business Meadow Foods and Cogent breeding have attracted US investment demonstrating a growing Agri- tech sector the Borough.
