Scarborough Group strengthens senior team with expanded role for Nicola Bulley
Scarborough Group International (SGI), the leading property regen- eration and placemaking specialist, has announced the promotion of Nicola Bulley to Group Marketing and Business Development Director, reflecting her growing strategic influence across both the Group’s commercial development portfolio and its wider corporate operations.
Nicola has been with SGI for over four years, during which time she has played a central role in helping to shape the identity and positioning of some of the Group’s most high-profile regeneration schemes, including Thorpe Park Leeds, Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park, Square One Scarborough and Queensferry One Rosyth, while also elevating SGI’s reputation as a national investment and devel- opment business.
In her expanded role, Nicola will take on a broader remit in help- ing to identify and secure new business opportunities and strategic partnerships, with a particular focus on SGI’s growing Scarborough Management Services division. She will also work closely with the executive team to support the Group’s capital investment strategy at both a corporate and project level, including engaging with joint venture partners, funders and institutional investors.
A New Children’s Nursery Has Opened in Bagshot, Surrey following £1 Million plus Investment
Busy Bees Bagshot has officially opened its doors, offering high qual- ity care and early years education for up to 94 children.
The state-of-the-art nursery is the result of a £1 Million plus devel- opment, in partnership with The Harkalm Group, an award-winning commercial property investor and developer whose project’s across the UK have resulted in the establishment of educational facilities that accommodate over 1,500 children in 2024 alone.
Busy Bees at Bagshot, which was formerly an office building, has now been transformed into a welcoming environment to cater for children aged from three months to five years old, led by a team with over 35 years of combined early years’ experience.
In my view – Scott Evans, CEO of Pink Storage
With autumn setting in and the festive season on the horizon, Manchester’s businesses are entering a crucial period. It’s not just about managing stock and logistics; it’s about strategic planning and collaboration to navigate the end-of-year rush effectively.
I’ve observed a notable shift in how local companies are approaching this time of year. There’s a growing emphasis on working together, including sharing insights, resources, and strategies to meet seasonal demands. Retailers are aligning their supply chains, event organisers are coordinating festive activities, and service providers are synchronising schedules to ensure smooth operations. This collective effort reflects a broader trend of community-driven business practices in Manchester.
For the storage sector, this collaborative spirit translates into a demand for flexible, accessible solutions that cater to both busi- nesses and households. As urban living spaces become more com- pact and the need for additional storage grows, self storage providers are stepping up to offer tailored services that meet these evolving needs. Manchester’s growth as a commercial and cultural hub is evident, and the ability of businesses to work hand-in-hand will be a defining strength moving into 2026. By continuing to foster collab- oration and adaptability, the city is well-positioned to turn seasonal challenges into opportunities for growth for all.

ChargeGuru Expands Fully-Funded EV Charging Solution to Office Buildings
As featured on the Back Cover this issue ChargeGuru UK, a leading provider of electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions, has announced the expansion of its Fully-Funded Solution to meet the needs of a growing population of EV users. ChargeGuru’s Fully-Funded Solution is now available for office buildings – providing a sustainable, scalable solution for businesses and their employees who need access to reliable, on-site EV chargers.
With ChargeGuru’s Fully-Funded Solution for office buildings, there is zero cost to the building owner, commercial agent, freeholder or property manager for installing or maintaining the EV charging infra- structure. ChargeGuru’s zero-cost offering and hassle-free admin- istration is unique in the commercial space, as there is no upfront investment or ongoing management required by the property.
This solution removes the hassle of seeking out a public charger for workers with EVs and demonstrates a commitment to accelerating widespread EV adoption. This launch from ChargeGuru comes after the success of its Fully-Funded Solution for apartment blocks, which sees tenants in need of EV charging capabilities receiving easy and accessible installations on-site. With public charging a necessary but expensive option, ChargeGuru’s Fully-Funded Solutions aim to drive down the costs of EV charging with private charger availability at home and work.
Denis Watling, Managing Director, ChargeGuru UK, comments: “We know that the average car in the UK is stationary for around 95% of lifetime. The vast majority of this time is spent parked up at home or at work.
Following the success of our Fully-Funded Solution for apartment blocks, it’s a natural next step to expand the offering to UK office buildings, too. By removing the financial and administrative barri- ers for property owners and managers in both the apartment and office block environment, we’re empowering tenants to charge their EVs when it suits them, rather than having to always rely on the public charging network. That’s good news for current and future EV drivers.”
ChargeGuru invests in and fully manages the EV charging technology, monitoring usage through the installation of an independent elec- tricity meter and ensuring bills for the chargers are kept separate. They pay for all electricity used by the Fully-Funded Solution and then re-bill this to the businesses who have subscribed to the solution and use the chargers. Maintenance of these chargers is also managed by ChargeGuru, meaning building stakeholders can be hands-off whilst still reaping the benefits of on-site private charging. Commercial properties with EV charging experience boosted appeal and rental value from prospective tenants, as well as increased satisfaction for existing tenants and their employees.
The individual EV chargers are installed in each designated parking space as and when needed, meaning businesses can expand and improve their infrastructure over time. These private charging points provide EV-driving employees with access to a fair, transparent, and, above all, convenient charging solution, avoiding the need for com- plex shared EV solutions.
Watling continues: “Our solutions provide property owners and man- agers the opportunity to increase the value of their buildings and spotlight their commitment to sustainability at zero cost, all whilst making charging easier and more accessible for EV owners in their properties. That’s good news for property owners and managers.”
