007’s Road to a Million - Amazon Amazon Prime Video is making a new competition series with 72 Films, 007’s Road to a Million. Franchise producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson will produce the James Bond competition series alongside 72 Films and MGM Television. Dan Grabiner is head of UK Originals for Amazon Studios.
Johnny Vegas: Carry on Glamping – Channel 4 Channel 4 has commissioned Plum Pictures to make a second series of Johnny Vegas: Carry on Glamping. The new six-part series follows Johnny and his assistant Bev as they set about developing the business. It is made by Plum Pictures. It was commissioned by Jonny Rothery, commissioning editor, Entertainment & Live Events and the executive producers are Will Daws and Stuart Cabb. .
Best of British By the Sea – Channel 4 Channel 4 has ordered a new five-part series from Blink Films in which Foodies Ainsley Harriott and Grace Dent will explore some of the best seaside holiday destinations – and dishes – the British Isles have to offer. It was commissioned by Deborah Dunnett with Katherine Marlow, C4’s Branded Entertainment Controller and brokered by Eleanor Cable at The 7 Stars Agency. Martha Swales is the Series Producer, and Will Knott and Dan Chambers are Executive Producers for Blink Films.
Rosie Jones commissions - Channel 4 Comedian, actress and author Rosie Jones is to star in three new commissions for Channel 4. Trip Hazard is back for a second series. The 5×60’ entertainment travelogue format is created by Studio 71 and produced by CPL Productions; a one-off, as yet untitled, documentary will be made by Twofour. Dine Hard is an all-new comedy, chat and cooking five-part digital series produced by Rockerdale Studios
Extraordinary Extensions – Channel 4 Channel 4 has renewed Avalon’s Extraordinary Extensions for a second series, fronted by musician Tinie. The series is commissioned by Clemency Green, Senior Commissioning Editor, Features and Daytime, and Jo Street, Head of Features and Daytime. The 6 x 60’ series is an Avalon production with Executive Producers Jamie Isaacs, Series Producer Mike Ratcliffe and Series Director Abdullai Adejumo.
Home makeover double order – Channel 4 Channel 4 has commissioned two new home
makeover shows, Worst House on the Street from South Shore and Motion Content Group and The Great Home Transformation from BBC Studios.
Secrets of the Royal Gardens - More 4 Pioneer Productions has been commissioned by Channel 4 and Passion Distribution to make new four part series, Secrets of the Royal Gardens for More4. The series is Executive Produced by Peter Collins for Pioneer Productions, with Stuart Strickson as series producer. It is commissioned for More4 by Shaminder Nahal and Naomi Rose, and for Passion Distribution by Emmanuelle Namiech and Nick Tanner.
Farm To Feast: Best Menu Wins – BBC1 NI BBC One Northern Ireland has recommissioned Belfast-based indie Stellify Media, for a second series of Farm To Feast: Best Menu Wins, a cookery competition celebrating award-winning produce from farms and fisheries across Northern Ireland
Young MasterChef (w/t) – BBC3 BBC Three has commissioned Young MasterChef (w/t) from Shine TV. The new ten- part series will feature up-and-coming young food talent between the ages of 18 and 25. The series of 10 x 30 is made by Shine TV, part of Banijay UK, in association with Ziji Productions, and the Executive Editor is David Ambler. The Commissioning Editor for the BBC is Sarah Clay.
BBC Fact Ent commissions BBC Factual has announced a new set of fact ent commissions including shows from 110% Content, Studio Ramsay, Wall To Wall, Wonderhood and Grant Waldrop. Unbreakable - a new factual entertainment competition from 110% Content Trailblazers - a new travel format for BBC Two Ruby Wax, Melanie Brown and Emily Atack re-trace the footsteps of Isabella Bird, a female traveller from the 19th century. Made by Studio Ramsay. Warrior Island (w/t)- new adventure challenge series for BBC Three made by Baft and Wall To Wall West Inside The Airport - produced by Wonderhood Studios for BBC One fronted by Airport’s Jeremy Spake The Speedshop- new, popular engineering and adventure series follows custom bike builder, Titch Cormack and his team as they take on a range of mechanical challenges. It is made by Grant Wardrop Productions.
COMEDY AND ENTERTAINMENT
Ninja Warrior - ITV Ninja Warrior UK is returning to ITV, with a revamped eight-part series from ITV Studios label Potato, for Saturday night. The series will be executive produced by Potato’s Michael Kelpie, Martin Scott, and Helen Tumbridge, and is set to go into production in May. The series is commissioned for ITV and ITV Hub by Kevin O’Brien, Commissioning Editor and Katie Rawcliffe, Head of Entertainment Commissioning.
Design Your Dream (w/t) - Channel 4 Channel 4 has commissioned a new peak-time interior design contest based in Sheffield in which competitors will take part in a series of design challenges to win their own dream
apartment.The 8 x 60 series is produced by Remarkable Factual with executive producers Joff Wilson and Breid McLoone.
