Trigger Point S2 - ITV ITV has ordered a second series of Trigger Point for 2023. Vicky McClure will reprise her role as bomb disposal operative ‘Expo’, Lana Washington in the new six part series. Trigger Point was written by screenwriting newcomer Daniel Brierley and produced by Jed Mercurio’s HTM Television. Trigger Point was commissioned for ITV by Polly Hill, Head of Drama.
Desperate Measures, The Winter Child - Channel 5 Channel 5 has commissioned two new dramas from Clapperboard set to air in 2022. Both series were ordered by Sebastian Cardwell, Deputy Chief Content Officer UK, at Paramount. Desperate Measures will be produced in association with Eccho Rights. Mike Benson and Julie Ryan are executive producers for Clapperboard, whilst Adam Barth and Nicola Söderlund serve as executive producers for Eccho Rights. Helen Ostler (The Last Kingdom) is the producer, whilst Anthony Philipson (Our Girl) will be the director of the series. In association with Chapter One and Endeavor Content, is The Winter Child (4 x 60”). Mike Benson and Julie Ryan serve as executive producers for Clapperboard, whilst Sophie Gardiner and Toby Bentley are executive producers for Chapter One. Giula Sandler (White House Farm) is the writer of The Winter Child, whilst Cormac Fox (Animals) joins the team as producer and Dominic Leclerc (The Teacher) will direct.
Apples Never Fall - Peacock Peacock has made a straight-to-series order of Heyday Television’s Apples Never Fall, a limited series based on Liane Moriarty’s (Big Little Lies, Nine Perfect Strangers) bestselling novel. The series will be produced by Universal International Studios’ Heyday Television. Melanie Marnich serves as writer, showrunner and executive producer. Producer David Heyman will executive produce, alongside Liane Moriarty, Albert Page and Jillian Share.

My £2 Dream Home – Channel 4 Channel 4 has commissioned a one-off documentary from Brighton-based Lambent Productions, following a group of brothers who have risen to national attention for their
property giveaways. My £2 Dream Home is commissioned for Channel 4 by Deborah Dunnett, Commissioning Editor, Daytime & Features, and Jo Street, Head of Daytime & Features. Executive producer at Lambent is Ollie Tait.
Eddie Hall: The Beast and The Mountain - BBC3 BBC Three has commissioned a new documentary with unique access to British strongman, Eddie Hall, and his journey to a climactic showdown with his arch-rival Thor Bjornsson, in what was dubbed ‘The Heaviest Boxing Match in History.’ It was commissioned for BBC Three by Fiona Campbell, Controller, BBC Three and Clare Sillery, Head of Commissioning, Documentaries. It is being made by Mindhouse Productions where the Producer/ Director is Olivia Isaacs and the Executive Producers are Barnaby Coughlin and Louis Theroux. The BBC Commissioning Editors are Sam White and Max Gogarty.
Faking It - Discovery UK Discovery UK has commissioned a new line- up of specials along with the sixth series of true crime series, Faking It produced by Merseyside-based Shearwater Media. Faking It was ordered by Clare Laycock, is commissioned by Charlotte Reid and executive produced by Romy Page. Steve Anderson and Jeff Anderson at Shearwater Media are the executive producers for the show.
Searching for Michael Jackson’s Zoo - ITV Rare TV has won a primetime commission from ITV for Searching for Michael Jackson’s Zoo, a 75-minute documentary special that looks at the fate of the exotic animals kept by the King of Pop at his Neverland Ranch. Commissioned by Tom Giles, ITV’s controller of current affairs, Searching for Michael Jackson’s Zoo was developed by Christian Broadhurst. It is directed by Johnny McDevitt, produced by McDevitt and Harri Davies, and executive produced for Rare TV by Alexander Gardiner.
Ice Age: A Frozen World - Channel 5 Channel 5 has commissioned a major three- part documentary telling the story of the ice age. It is fronted by Steve Backshall, Michaela Strachan and geologist Chris Jackson. It was commissioned by Denise Seneviratne for Channel 5. It will be co-produced by October Films and Krempelwood. The programme will be executive produced by Adam Bullimore and Mike Warner for October Films and Mark Wood and Blair Krempel for Krempelwood.
