And… breathe… Yes, the arrival of March is always a welcome one (and not just because I’m a beekeeper and it’s a massive relief to see the sun and the odd snowdrop flower appearing!) Every year, from November to March, the pressure is ON (in capital letters, no less).
When you hit November, you know Christmas is lurking. People
start preparing to check out as soon as the double-digits of December hit, so if you want any meaningful response, you’ve got to grab them by the scruff in November. We also know people will have been hording as much holiday allowance as possible to stretch the Christmas break out as deep into January as they can. Oh, and then there’s this little thing called ICE that smacks you in the chops early Feb. As a result, it feels like I’ve been talking about ICE for about four months straight! To suggest that I’m delighted to put it to bed with a HUGE review of the show is an understatement. Fortunately for you, dear readers, it’s not only ICE that fills this issue; we’ve got some juicy special features sprinkled like glitter over the top of our usual impressive roster of regional experts. I know I’m always urging you to do things, but I URGE you (see, there I go again) to check out our excellent interview with the (relatively) new man running the Galaxy Gaming machine, Matt Reback (page 34). We’ve also got lots of pretty pictures showing off how incredible the European Casino Awards were. Us? Showing off? Absolutely!
