Sobre la Ley Como se recuerda, la Ley que regula la explotación de los juegos y apuestas deportivas a distancia señala, entre diversos aspectos, que el Mincetur es la autoridad administrativa a nivel nacional que regula, autoriza, revoca, fiscaliza y sanciona la explotación de los juegos a distancia y apuestas deportivas a distancia. El dispositivo legal sostiene, de manera clara, además, que solo podrán participar de esta actividad aquella persona natural mayor de edad, de nacionalidad peruana o extranjera, registrada previamente en las plataformas tecnológicas de los juegos o apuestas deportivas a distancia autorizadas para su explotación por el Mincetur. En el caso de las salas de juego de apuestas deportivas a distancia, estos podrán estar ubicados en un local exclusivo de esta actividad u otros que tengan como giro principal la venta de otros productos o servicios. Respecto a las apuestas, la nueva ley indica que el jugador debe realizar el pago de sus apuestas con dinero circulante, tarjetas de crédito, débito o cualquier otro medio de pago, con excepción de las criptomonedas. En el caso de obtener premios, estos podrán ser cobrados por el medio de pago que el jugador elija o, en su defecto, mediante una cuenta a su nombre, abierta en una empresa del sistema financiero bajo la supervisión de la SBS. About the Law As it is recalled, the Law that regulates the operation of remote games and sports betting in Peru, states, among other aspects, that Mincetur is the administrative authority at the national level that regulates, authorizes, revokes, supervises and sanctions the operation of remote games and remote sports betting. The legal provision also clearly states that only a natural


person of legal age, of Peruvian or foreign nationality, previously registered in the technological platforms of remote games or sports betting authorized for exploitation by Mincetur, may participate in this activity. In the case of remote sports betting gaming rooms, these


may be located in premises exclusively for this activity, or others whose main business is the sale of other products or services.


Regarding betting, the new law indicates that the players must make payment of their bets with circulating money, credit cards, debit cards or any other means of payment, with the exception of cryptocurrencies. In the case of obtaining prizes or winnings, these may be collected by means of payments chosen by the player or, failing that, through an account in his name, opened in a company within the country’s financial system under the supervision of the financial authorities. It should be noted that only those sporting events that are
