Urgente notificación a empresas juego y apuestas deportivas online
El ministro de Comercio Exterior y Turismo, Juan Carlos Mathews, anunció que desde el martes 12 de febrero al miércoles 13 de marzo las empresas que ofrecen los servicios de juegos a distancia y apuestas deportivas a distancia deberán presentar de manera virtual, ante el Mincetur, su solicitud para que se les otorgue la autorización de funcionamiento. Esto es fundamental para que estas compañías puedan ofrecer este tipo de servicios en el país. Caso contrario serán pasibles a una sanción no menor a 150 UIT, y además una denuncia penal e inhabilitación para ejercer esta actividad. “Esta es una importante noticia: poner en funcionamiento la Ley N° 31557 y su reglamento permitirá regular la explotación de los juegos a distancia y de las apuestas deportivas a distancia, generando un movimiento económico regulado y con pago de impuestos. Y, sobre todo, brindar la seguridad para el apostador, el juego responsable y la formalización de la actividad”, indicó el titular del Mincetur.
En ese sentido, refirió que actualmente se encuentra activa una “marcha blanca” -es decir un pre- registro- en el que los laboratorios de certificación, las empresas que ofrecen juegos a distancia y apuestas deportivas a distancia, y los proveedores de servicios pueden ir ingresando sus datos. Esto permitirá una adecuada operatividad del sistema informático del Mincetur, al atender el total de las solicitudes que se empiecen a recibir a partir del próximo 13 de febrero. “Ello será importante, porque se tienen identificadas 115 empresas que vienen ofreciendo los servicios de juegos y apuestas deportivas a distancia en el país, de las cuales 86 son no domiciliadas y 29 son peruanas. Esto marca la clara visión de Juego Responsable y estricto cumplimiento de la Ley y su Reglamento”, afirmó, el ministro Mathews. Según Mincetur, se estima que el volumen de apuestas realizadas en el Perú durante el 2022 fue cercano a los S/3,800 millones (US$984 millones). Es importante precisar que una vez las empresas cumplan con los requisitos y sean autorizadas por Mincetur, esto es a partir del 1 de abril, se encontrarán afectas a los gravámenes. Así, se

Urgent advice to online gaming and sports betting companies
The Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism, Juan Carlos Mathews, announced that from Tuesday, February 13 to Wednesday, March 13 companies that offer remote gaming and remote sports betting services must submit virtually, to Mincetur, their application to be granted official authorization to operate.
This is essential for these companies to be able to offer this type of service in the country. Otherwise, they will be subject to a fine of not less than 150 UIT - around US$200,000 - as well as criminal proceedings and
disqualification from exercising this activity in the country. “This is
transcendental news, as its puts into operation Law No. 31557 and its
regulations that will make possible the regulation of
remote games and remote sports betting operations in Peru, generating a regulated economic activity with payment of taxes. And, above all, to provide security for the betting public, responsible gambling and the formalization of the activity,” said the head of Mincetur. In this sense, minister Matthews said, that a “white parade” is currently active – that is, a pre-registration – in which certification laboratories, companies that offer remote games and remote sports betting, and service providers can enter their data on the Government’s site. This will allow adequate operations of the Mincetur computer system, by processing the total number of requests that begin as of February 13.
