A LOOK FORWARD Jooba Tech Tom Finlayson, co-founder D

ifferentiation. The concept has been fl oating around the iGaming industry for a couple of decades already. Every year we hear announcements,

marketing taglines and promises to differentiate, to stand out from the crowd. Normally the needle measuring the difference between like-for-like competitors rarely seems to move much. However, 2024 feels like it could be different. At the risk of sounding like a tagline, it really does feel like this is the year that operators, platforms, suppliers - all areas of iGaming - are focusing on

differentiation. Based on conversations and meetings the Jooba team have had at the end of 2023, it’s no longer just about offering a good and solid player experience. It’s also about offering something more, something unique, something new. But this is only half the battle. In an industry where “copy with pride” is par for the course, keeping - and staying - ahead of the competition is the other half of the battle. Companies need to pivot, innovate and integrate at speeds that we’ve not seen before. Third parties are playing a more pivotal role, too. Gone are the days of building everything in-house. Not because of any inability to build, but because of the time it takes and the limited resources available.

Fundamentally I feel that 2024 will see more

s we step into the new year, our industry is poised to witness remarkable advancements and great strategic initiatives. Here’s a glimpse into the iGaming trends that the Silverback Gaming team anticipate will come into play this year, along with our own ambitious plans for 2024.

ur team at Live Solutions foresees two distinct areas where the push for differentiation in a saturated market will result in creative

innovation. Both areas revolve around user experience, which includes operators as well as players. We also believe that as regulation continues to impact mature markets, less regulated but underserved markets will become more attractive to operators looking for easier pickings.

companies, be they User Engagement providers like Jooba or game developers or platform providers, coming up with new and creative ways to stand out from the crowd. For me, this is nothing short of exciting. This industry allows for a whole host of ideas to come to fruition. And with ever-expanding markets, there are more and more players with varied appetites to serve.

During 2024, Jooba will be creating some really amazing products to help operators to differentiate. It’s not just about jackpots anymore. We will also be doing our bit to stand out.

AMPLIFYING MARKETING AND GAMES PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT Our dedication to excellence extends to intensifi ed efforts in marketing and meticulous games portfolio management. We aim to elevate our brand visibility and streamline our game offerings for an optimal user experience.

EXPLORING NEW MARKET OPPORTUNITIES

We’ll be exploring new market opportunities in 2024. We’re keen to identify and tap into emerging markets, fostering global reach and diversifying our player base.

COMMITMENT TO FRESH CONTENT, INNOVATION, AND CREATIVITY

Continuing our legacy of delivering fresh content, we remain steadfast in our commitment to promoting innovation and creativity. Expect a year fi lled with ground-breaking releases and unprecedented gaming concepts, as Silverback Gaming continues to deliver fi rst-class quality entertainment, time after time.

PLAYER EXPERIENCE As competition increases, there’ll be a shift

away from the ‘pile’em high’ approach to table games and instead, a move towards player environments that make them feel valued and engaged.

We’ve noticed how our speciality area – Live – is already saturated but happily there are welcome attempts at differentiation, thanks to innovations in the game formats. Our development team continues to push the boundaries with both AI and multiplayer live video streaming. We believe this increases player engagement with the added advantage of less regulation, compared to traditional live dealers, and without the investment usually required for licensed studios and dealers.

OPERATOR EXPERIENCE The market is split between fi re-and-forget

operators and those who want to get to know their players, to offer products they’ll enjoy. We predict game platforms will have an increased ability to provide the useful KPIs which operators need to establish the true popularity, and therefore the comparable profi tability, of individual games. From our own experience, enabling the operator to monitor their players in real-time at the tables and even talk to them face-to-face is literally game- changing. This allows operators to have insights and capabilities much more akin to those available to VIP managers in the bricks-and-mortar world.
