After its hiatus in 2021, we will be attending Toy Fair 2022 in London. We will be displaying a trampoline from our new junior print, lights and sounds collection; we are excited to finally show off this new innovation to our customers, after its launch last year. In true Plum Play style, it’s a really fun product and we’re certain our customers will enjoy the whole collection. One of the most rewarding aspects
of the show is being able to meet our customers in person; with the lockdowns of the past 18 months, this has become even more of a rarity. We are really looking forward to connecting with customers that we have not had the pleasure of meeting yet or have not seen since before the pandemic. And, as always, we’ll be looking for new and exciting opportunities for both Plum Play and our distribution brands.
Toy Fair is always a great opportunity to connect with other brands and suppliers, share our experiences and aspirations, and provide a holistic insight into the toy industry. We are particularly excited about Toy
Fair, as we have a lot to be proud of this year! We have launched many new products throughout the year and have adapted to a whole new industry amidst the pandemic. Like all businesses over the past 18 months, we have had to adapt our business model in response to unprecedented changes brought about by the pandemic, most recently the supply chain disruptions that have affected many businesses like ours. Our business model has become much more flexible and more nimble, which has helped us deal with new challenges over the last few months and will make our business
much more resilient to new changes in the months ahead. Plum Play’s biggest achievement in 2021
has got to be our continued expansion into international markets. We now export to over 50 countries, have offices in the UK, Hong Kong and Sydney, and are set to be bigger internationally than domestically this year for the first time in our history. Toy Fair marks an important milestone
in the recovery of the toy sector. In light of recent disruptions, Toy Fair tells us that quality and safety should not be compromised despite the challenges facing the sector. Recent research from the BTHA found that many online retailers do not pass basic toy safety tests and pose real risks for children. Regardless of the supply chain pressures at the moment, all toys must be rigorously tested and approved.
