Based on 2019 figures, the report estimated that £485 million of building materials bought for DIY home improvements generates a labour element of £295 million. The BMF participated in a webinar last month for CICV Forum members - including the Federation of Master Builders and National Federation of Roofing Contractors - to discuss this report and how best to use its findings in lobbying ministers in Edinburgh and London.
