A trading update for the group for the first half ending January 31 2024 reported that Wolseley Group continued to trade well, despite continued challenges facing the market. These include product price inflation and the continued, although improving, product supply shortages. Underlying trading remained good through the period, with both revenue and profitability growing over the same period in the prior year.

As well as the acquisition of Highland PLumbing & Heating, the group bought a majority stake in the bathroom specialist C.P. Hart which operates in the premium bathroom sector, both residential and commercial, from 16 showroom locations.
