FERGUS INCREASES MERCHANT AND WHOLESALER INTEGRATIONS

F

ergus, the trade job management software, now includes over 26 electrical wholesalers, building and plumbing merchants, including Plumbase, Screwfix and Travis Perkins, integrated on its platform. “Gone are the days of rekeying invoices into accounting packages or job management software for back costing,” says James Chillman, UK country manager for Fergus.

With just one click, invoices can be instantly assigned to jobs, ensuring that every material cost is accurately allocated and nothing is overlooked. This level of precision in tracking supplier documents and costs across jobs is unparalleled, offering users a comprehensive overview of their financials in one location.

Fergus also simplifies the materials procurement process with the ability to send purchase orders directly from the platform to suppliers for pricing, pickup or delivery. This functionality saves time and streamlines the supply chain management. Trades businesses can now skip the line, secure in the knowledge that Fergus is handling their procurement needs with speed and accuracy. One of the most significant benefits of these integrations is the ability to invoice in minutes. With labour and material costs already allocated to jobs, Fergus users can generate customer invoices swiftly, directly from

quotes or by creating a quick invoice that incorporates all material and labour costs. The system also allows for the incorporation of used stock for a job, pulling in line items with up-to-date pricing from supplier price books that are instantly imported into Fergus.

“Our integrations include partnerships with major industry suppliers such as Yesss Electrical, Rexel, Edmundson Electrical, CEF, Travis Perkins, Wolseley, Williams, Graham, Plumbase, BSS, MKM, Screwfix and City Plumbing to name but a few. These collaborations ensure that Fergus users have access to a wide range of products and materials at competitive prices,” continues James.

“Our mission is to save you countless hours of administrative work so you can focus more on the important things, like family and friends while running a business - instead of the business running you.” BMJ www.fergus.com

KCS LOOKS TO CO2NSTRUCT ZERO INITIATIVE FOR 2024

K

erridge Commercial Systems (KCS), is aiming to support improved environmental, social,

and governance (ESG) standards

via its active participation in the CO2nstruct Zero initiative. Launched in March 2021 by the Construction Leadership Council (CLC), CO2nstruct Zero is the construction industry’s response to the goal of achieving net zero by 2050.

CO2nstruct Zero’s Performance Framework features 31 metrics across nine priority areas and tracks the construction industry’s progress in decreasing carbon emissions. As designated CO2nstruct Zero Business Champions, KCS joins esteemed organisations such as The Environment Agency and other leading merchants to showcase and encourage best practices among their customers.

James Mitchell, managing director of KCS for the UK and Ireland, says: “Being CO2nstruct Zero Business Champion aligns perfectly with our mission to deliver customers solutions that help them stay profitable while working towards net zero,” James explains. “For example, by developing technology that helps companies spend less on fuel or paper - or by increasing the accuracy of their deliveries - we’re showing how digitalisation can help our customers see sustainability and profitability go hand-in-hand.”

KCS’s has also ramped up its pursuit to drive improved Environmental Social Governance (ESG) standards across the organisation. “At KCS, our software solutions are designed for operational efficiency and promoting sustainable practices among our customers,” says Carolyn Adams, KCS’s chief people officer. “Those values are underpinned by our approach to environmental and social responsibilities, such as how we work with charities to distribute our old IT equipment through local schools.

Mitchell adds: “Alongside how we run as a business, KCS will continue developing digital solutions that help businesses work towards greater profitability through digitalisation and also assisting them on the drive to net-zero.

“Ultimately, our role as CO2nstruct Zero Business Champion symbolises our dedication to environmental stewardship and our intent to lead the way during the industry’s zero carbon transition.” BMJ www.kerridgecs.com
