Walk-In Patients 12 Months and Older Welcome at Morris Hospital Convenient Care in Yorkville
Located in south Yorkville
at 105 Saravanos Dr. on Route 47, 1.5 miles south of the Fox River bridge, the Morris Hospital Yorkville Campus, open since 2014, is staffed by a family nurse practitioner, Kim Smith.
Smith, who is director of
Immediate Care and Occupational Medicine at Morris Hospital & Healthcare Centers, sees patients 12 months and older on a walk-in basis for minor illnesses and injuries, including minor cuts and first aid care, cough, chest congestion, upper respiratory infection, flu-like or allergy symptoms, insect bites and rashes, minor injuries and sprains, pink eye and sties, sore throat, earache, sinus infections, sports physicals, and urinary tract and bladder infections. “Our Convenient Care services are an excellent resource for the community,” explains Smith. “Tink of Convenient
Care as a place you can go for the same types of reasons you would call your doctor and request a same-day appointment.” Convenient Care is billed similarly to a physician office visit, with any x-rays or rapid lab tests additional. Te amount of the co-pay requested at the time of service depends on the patient’s specific health plan. Many area employers utilize Morris Hospital’s
Occupational Medicine Services at the Yorkville Campus for employment physicals, hearing tests, pulmonary function testing, DOT physicals, injury care, and substance testing. Morris Hospital is committed to enhancing the health and safety of employees so they can return to work as quickly and safely as possible if they become injured. For more information, go to
