#IBC2023 RETROFIT LED KIT A BIG PLUS
Coemar Lighting BY DAVID FOX
LED lighting has become standard across the industry, but there are still a lot of older halogen or discharge-based lights around, and what could be more environmentally friendly than upgrading those rather than replacing them? That is the rationale behind Coemar’s ReLite Series of LED retrofi t kits, which have themselves been recently upgraded.
The new ReLite LED Kit+ has
improved light output compared to standard versions of ReLite HD, thanks to a new external unit holding all the electronics outside the device, allowing it to use higher power than the ReLite HD: up to 300W, with light output
Plus points: Coemar has upgraded its ReLite Series of LED retrofi t kits
comparable to 2000W halogen. The kit enables old halogen
fi xtures to become fi xed white (tungsten or daylight) LED, VariWhite LED from 2700K-6500K with an average TLCI of 97, or six-colour LED (RGBCLA). All are adjustable via DMX and with fully digital settings, with different 16-bit dimmer control modes. The plus (+) version includes new electronics improving the output of the LED, keeping uniform light output in all colour temperatures for the tuneable white models. 12.C40
TOTAL VIEW WITH VENUEVIEW Studio Technologies BY KEVIN EMMOTT
Launched live at IBC, VenueView is the latest feature for the STcontroller application. It displays real-time monitoring of key operating parameters of Studio Technologies’ Dante-compatible products. VenueView is designed to assist personnel with the correct operation of announcer’s consoles (talent interfaces) and related devices that are being used by on-air teams in broadcast and production applications. Each VenueView group allows up to eight different devices to be monitored in a single user-defi ned menu, with multiple groups capable of being simultaneously monitored. Each VenueView user has the ability to independently create their desired

venues, which allows one user to view a set of devices on one PC, and another user to monitor the same devices, a completely different set of devices, or a combination of devices on a different PC. Once groups are established,
real-time audio levels from related devices can be simultaneously monitored on the same screen. If a confi guration change is necessary, immediate adjustment of parameters such as microphone preamplifi er gain, headphone monitoring and push-button operation is possible. 8.F93
