LONGER LIFESPAN PUSHES THE SUSTAINABILITY BUTTON FOR REMOTES

An “extraordinary” line of remote controls and smart home devices could redefine the industry with tripled lifespan, according to ruwido. Utilising patented designs, quality materials and precision production methods, the new product architecture is said to offer customers “unparalleled durability and longevity”. Ferdinand Maier, CEO of ruwido, said: “After a multi-year R&D programme, we have achieved yet another breakthrough in product architecture and design, making our remotes last longer but also made with a strong environmental sustainability focus.”
The company claims that over the entire lifespan of a remote control, opting for “cheaply manufactured alternatives” results in 150% more cost compared to ruwido’s own products. “With ruwido’s high-quality standards and designs, it is now possible to achieve low economic and ecological lifetime costs as well as high customer satisfaction,” added Maier. 1.D67

The Wave Series of compact FM transmitters is debuting a new feature in Hall 8. Ranging from 30W to 5kW, Wave Series FM transmitters are now capable of receiving DAB/DAB+/ HD Radio via an embedded radio receiver and can retransmit the desired service in FM.
Game changer: ruwido’s remotes have a strong environmental focus
Integrating a DDS modulator with a comprehensive set of input interfaces and an automatic input switch, the transmitters can accept stereo/RDS coders, a Stereo Tool audio processor, a test tone generator, an audio monitor and MPX output. Input interfaces include analogue mono/stereo, two analogue
MPX, AES/EBU, AES192, AES67, web radio receiver, FM/DAB/HD radio tuner, digital MPX over IP, ASI, Micro SD card, SAT/DTT receiver and GPS.
The transmitters can integrate up to two satellite/terrestrial receivers, which makes them able to receive low symbol rate signals, while ABE’s patented FM isofrequency implementation allows them to operate efficiently in single- frequency networks. With an integrated LCD display and keypad for local control, Wave Series units can also be remotely managed via a web GUI and Simple Network Management Protocol. 8.D61
