investment. Argyle Satellite has had success after its foundation in 2017, seeing a 40 per cent growth in fleet size over the last three years, servicing four million journeys in the process. Argyle Satellite will contin- ue to provide the best possible service under the new own- ership, enhancing its reputation as the Wirral’s largest and
most trusted taxi company. This deal will see Argyle Satellite fo- cus on further in- vestment in technol- ogy, creating im- provements for both passengers and dri- vers, while enabling the service to extend across the Wirral Peninsula. Karen Long, City- Fleet

EXE CARS MERGE WITH PLYMOUTH’S NEED-A-CAB SO EXETER ‘CAN MAINTAIN COMPETITION’
Taxi firm Exe Cars has merged with Plymouth’s Need-A- Cab after ‘months of negotiation’. PlymouthLive re- ports
that
competitive private hire company,

merger is so “Exe Cars can become the company to set new standards for the industry in Exeter,” Need-A-Cab says. It comes comes as Apple Taxis and Z- Cars announced a merger earlier last month as part of a bid to fight off ride sharing app Ola. Exe Cars, which has been trading for over seven years, will now be known as Need-A-Cab - and changes are coming too.
