Aberdeen Taxis has reacted to require- ments from the oil and gas sectors’
challenging task. The firm was ap- proached by cus- tomers looking for a
ground transport solution to the seri- ous challenge of transporting sus- pected cases of Covid-19, in isolation, from heliports to iso- lation units. Aberdeen Taxis cre- ated a solution within 24 hours util- ising skills in procurement, fol- lowing protocols, risk assessment, Health and Safety and engaging with key personnel in the sector. The taxi company installed screens in dedicated vehicles to segregate driver and passenger, im- plementing a full sterilisation sched- ule to mitigate fur- ther risk to passen- gers and drivers. Several vehicles were supplied.

A Burton taxi firm has made a heart- warming offer to hospital workers in the battle against coronavirus. Bosses from Burton taxi firm iCars, have vowed to offer a free taxi service for NHS workers for the whole of March to help “alleviate some pressure” from their shoulders.
