AINSWORTH JEWELLERS
Established in 1870 by Joseph Ainsworth, the company has been passed down through five generations, maintaining a legacy of craftsmanship and community engagement. Philip Ainsworth is a fifth-generation owner of the firm and his wife Helen Dimmick also works for the business. The firm is expanding to open a new office in the heart of London’s prestigious jewellery quarter at 100 Hatton Garden.
BOOTHS BEAVERBROOKS
The story began in 1919 when the three Adlestone brothers, Isaac, Harry and Maurice, moved to Belfast to pursue their dream of selling jewellery and gifts. Isaac’s grandson Mark is the current chairman. The Fylde coast- headquartered jewellery group is committed to ethical sourcing and sustainability, adhering to standards set by organisations such as the Responsible Jewellery Council and the Kimberley Process. It operates 83 stores across the UK.

Gemma supports a wide range of clients on corporate transactions and has a strong foundation in asset sales and purchases, particularly in the hospitality sector, as well as playing a key role in supporting mergers and acquisitions, internal company restructures and shareholder agreements. She also works closely with senior fee earners and partners on complex transactions, assisting in drafting
and reviewing key documents, conducting due diligence and managing transaction processes from initial instruction through to post-completion.

The company’s foundation is intertwined with the Bannister family’s legacy in the Lancashire textile industry. Michael Bannister, born in 1933 into a mill-owning family, recognised the shifting landscape of British manufacturing. In 1975, he acquired the Boundary Mill site in Colne. Michael’s son Richard is a director and holds a significant ownership stake in the company while Richard’s son Benjamin runs the business. Boundary Outlet stores is a group of leading shopping destinations and the first was established in Colne more than 30 years ago. It offers fashion and homeware and now operates five sites across the UK.
Booths was established in 1847 when 19-year-old tea dealer Edwin Henry Booth opened his first store, The China House, in Blackpool. The company has remained under the stewardship of the Booth family, with Edwin Booth serving as chairman since 1997. The family’s commitment to the business has been a cornerstone of its enduring success. The business has just welcomed Emma Booth to its ranks. She is the sixth generation and the first female family member to join.
