T Levels ensure you meet the needs of industry by combining classroom theory, practical learning and industry placement.
This NCFE qualification will ensure that you will develop the high quality skills required within the education sector.
This Teaching Pathway focuses on children in Primary School and combines the following core units with practical application while working in a Primary School setting:

Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND)
• Supporting education •
Safeguarding
• English as an additional language (EAL)
As well as examination of the content, you will complete an employer-set project to complete the theory and practical aspects of the qualification.
You will also undertake a 315-hour (minimum)industry placement.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS To be accepted onto this programme, you must hold at least five GCSEs at grade 4 or above. This must include grade 5 in English, Maths and Science.
PROGRESSION Successful completion of this qualification will open up exciting career opportunities. It will give you an advantage when applying for a job in the industry or when progressing to further study.
EDUCATION & CHILDCARE (EARLY YEARS) T LEVEL

This NCFE qualification will ensure that you will develop into the high quality, skilled practitioner that the early years sector demands.
The Early Years Educator pathway focuses on children under the age of five, and combines the following core units with practical application while working in an early years setting:
• Child development •
Safeguarding
• Observation and assessment
• Parents, families and carers
There is a minimum requirement for this qualification to undertake 750 hours of industry placement over the two years to gain your license to practice.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS To be accepted onto this programme, you must hold at least five GCSEs at grade 4 or above including English and Maths. Science GCSE is also preferred, especially if you are considering going in to teaching.
PROGRESSION Successful completion of this qualification will open up exciting career opportunities in the early years sector. It will give you an advantage when applying for a job in the industry or when progressing to further study.
SUPPORT FOR TEACHING & LEARNING
Level 3 | Duration: 1 year North Devon | FTB110
This qualification will provide you with an in- depth understanding of the knowledge and skills needed when working directly with children and young people in learning environments. It covers all aspects of specialist support including bilingual support, special needs support and personal development and reflective practice.
You will study the following modules:
• Child and young person development
• Safeguarding and wellbeing
• Communication and professional relationships
• Schools as organisations • Support learning activities • Positive behaviour
• Equality, diversity and inclusion
• Support assessment for learning
• Engage in personal development
•
Children and young people's health
You will spend one day per week in college and up to three days per week in a work/volunteer placement setting.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS You must hold at least five GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including GCSE Maths and English language. You will be expected to have gained a Merit on a relevant Level 2 course.
PROGRESSION Upon successful completion of this course, you could undertake a degree in Teaching and Learning, or move into specialist employment in the industry.
