Perfectly suited to those with caring and patient natures, education and early years childcare roles are hugely important and very rewarding.
We have a team of dedicated, expert lecturers with a wealth of experience in working with children and young people. They will share their wisdom and experience with you as you learn the unique and wide -ranging skills you need to succeed in these roles.
You will practise your skills in a ‘true to life’ training room at our North Devon campus, undertake fantastic work experience opportunities and learn to support the children in your care.
Your course will include an exciting opportunity to visit Sweden to see how their innovative and highly successful Forest Schools are run, allowing you to gain valuable hands-on experience and insight into this rapidly expanding area of childcare.
There is a vast and varied number of career and professional pathways available to students who complete courses in education and childcare, from teaching, teaching assistants and nursery nurses to social workers and child nurses.
At Petroc, we also offer a range of childhood-related higher education courses to help you progress even further towards your perfect career.
