The Portfolio The portfolio is designed to provide a personal learning log/journal for students to visit as they read through the play. It provides a forum for reflection on the characters, plot and key themes of the play, allowing students to take personal ownership of the learning process. The written tasks help them to engage imaginatively with the play and to explore the language of William Shakespeare.
Character File
The Character File section of the portfolio provides a template for students to reflect on their feelings about the main characters as they progress through the play. They are encouraged to record their responses to the characters in each key scene. They may focus on something that stands out to them. They may notice a significant change in the character, or may wish to note something that confuses them about a character in a particular scene.
