Action – What Happens?
In this brief scene, we are back in Venice where Shylock is demanding justice. He is unwilling to hear Antonio’s pleas for mercy and says that nothing will stand in the way of him getting justice (i.e. taking Antonio’s life). By the end of the scene, Antonio is resigned to (accepts) his fate.
