Details
A weekly payment paid to individuals over the age of 66 who do not qualify for the contributory State Pension.
A weekly payment to the husband, wife or civil partner of a deceased person who does not qualify for the contributory State Pension and has no dependent children.
A weekly payment to those who do not qualify for, or who have used up their entitlement for Jobseeker’s Benefit
A weekly payment available to low-income working families with children. Families receive 60% of the difference between their actual weekly income and the income limit that applies to their family size. To qualify individuals must:

How it works
A family with one child, earning €436 per week have an income limit of €511. Their earnings are deducted from the income limit, leaving a €75 difference. 60% of the difference of €75 is €45. The Family Income Supplement paid to this family is €45 per week.
