The Dog Show finished with a fast and furious dog race which was absolute chaos but a lot of fun, with a lot of very cute puppies running amok!


After all the Sunday matches it was time for the most important part of the day: the annual fancy dress parade and fancy dress chukka. Each year the costumes seem to get more creative, and this year was no exception. Amongst the children, prizes were given to The Three Muskateers: Gosha Prentice, Czar Prentice and Beni Teroerde, whose rendition of “All for one and one for all!” was well rehearsed and commanded huge applause. Jessica Lawrence also won a prize for her scary witch costume, complete with very large knife. Other costumes included Donald Trump Junior, some fairies, and Bella Teroerde as a very cute sheep.


Amongst the adult costumes were a Donald Trump, a wolf, a Father Christmas crossed with Father Christmas, an Arabian man in traditional costume, some students from Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry but first prize went to Bavarian Oktoberfest maids Becca Drake and Bianca Stefan, otherwise known as “Greta” and “Heidi”. Once the judging was over, the Chairman threw the ball in for the last chukka of the season which proved to be its usual chaos, but miraculously everyone stayed on and made it to the party afterwards. It was lovely that all the grooms could join the playing members for the party and was a lovely end to a very fun season.
