Once again the substantial number of entries resulted in a weeks’ worth of group games for the Summer Tournament. A run of wins for Jacaranda and Andina catapulted them both into the final on the first Sunday of July. Both teams had professional duo's in their line-ups. The de By brothers fielded Hamza Mawaz with Ed Banner-Eve for Jacaranda. In the Jet Set team Katharine Swithwick and Jose-Miguel Smith had Juan Cruz Araya-Martelli with Mariano Daritchon.

Though the first chukka had some close misses for Jacaranda it was Jet Set who used their chances to establish a strong 4-1 lead after seven minutes. By half time however Jacaranda had come back to take a slim lead by half a goal. The second half remained remarkably close with neither team gaining a strong advantage. Approaching the final minutes of the game Jacaranda came alive and capitalised on several opportunities to take the win and claim the Summer Tournament’s prize, the Rosie Adams Bowl.

The subsidiary final between Vendetta and Student Beehive turned out to be a great open match. Both teams had had close final scores in the group games and this fighting spirit showed with some great open polo. Vendetta eventually took the win continuing their good tournament record.
