START OF THE SEASON

pary

How swiftly the time goes by and we found ourselves at the start of yet another new polo season.

For something different, the venue chosen was The Osbourne Studio Gallery in Motcomb Street, Belgravia. There was plenty of wonderful equestrian art on show to interest the guests. The evening was quite warm and we were able to be outside in their small courtyard as well as inside on two floors, both displaying amazing artworks.

Team Hunt Kendall had camped in a very small kitchen, really a kitchenette, but irrespective they managed to deliver delicious canapes to be washed down with the wonderful Frèrejean Frères Champagne.

It was also an occasion for our members to meet our new Club Secretary, Sarah Sinclair, for the first time since she had joined the Polo Office Team in late February. It was also nice for Sarah to meet all those she would be seeing a great deal of over the coming summer months. No names, but one person fell instantly in love with one of the artworks and had to take it home with them then and there. There were one or two others making enquires but we are unaware of whether that came to any fruition. It was good news for the gallery.

Although the venue was small, the guests managed to mingle happily and talk of the winter gone by and the polo and social events to come, getting the new season into gear. Welcome to the new Polo season indeed.
