DAVE KUBAJAK SVP of Sales, Marketing & Operations JCM Global
Looking ahead, my vision for JCM is to continue evolving as a global technology and solutions leader that not only responds to industry change but helps shape it. We will deepen our focus on integrated solutions that bridge hardware, software, and data analysis, enabling us to create secure and personalised experiences for our customers and their patrons. Perhaps most importantly, we will remain grounded in the values that brought us here: integrity, innovation, and a relentless focus on our customers’ success.
Dave, looking back, what do you consider as defining moments in JCM’s history that have shaped the company’s trajectory?
JCM’s journey has been marked by several pivotal moments that fundamentally shaped who we are today. One of the earliest was our entry into the gaming industry with the introduction of reliable, high- performance bill validators, a technology that redefined transactions on the casino floor. Another defining moment was our strategic role in the global adoption of TITO, where our early investment in barcode validation and thermal printing positioned us as a foundational player in a transformative shift for the industry. Equally significant was our expansion beyond core currency validation into broader systems solutions. Tis evolution from a hardware-centric company to technology solutions provider allowed us to deepen our partnerships with operators and anticipate the needs of a rapidly changing market. Each of these milestones reflects a consistent theme: JCM’s ability to recognize inflection points in the industry and respond with innovation, precision, and purpose.
How does JCM cultivate a culture that encourages continuous innovation across all levels of the organisation?
At JCM, innovation isn’t confined to a department. We’ve cultivated a culture where curiosity is encouraged, collaboration is expected, and calculated risk-taking is supported. Tis begins with leadership setting a clear vision and empowering teams to challenge the status quo. We also prioritise listening, both internally and externally. Whether it’s feedback from a frontline technician or a global operator, we treat every insight as a potential spark for innovation. Our global footprint gives us access to diverse market perspectives, which we actively integrate into our R&D strategy. Ultimately, it’s our people, driven by a shared commitment to excellence, who make innovation sustainable and scalable at JCM.

Dave, you joined JCM American as employee #26 in 2000. What does JCM mean to you?
Reflecting back on my journey at JCM, it’s incredibly humbling to see how far we’ve come. When I joined over 25 years ago, I couldn’t have imagined the global footprint I would be a part of with JCM. What started as a role focused on the U.S. casino market, has evolved into a career that’s taken me to 52 countries across five continents. Along the way, I’ve had the privilege of meeting customers from diverse cultures, learning from their perspectives, and building lasting relationships. JCM has been more than just a company to me, it’s been a journey of growth, discovery, and connection. I feel truly fortunate to have been part of this incredible journey with JCM and look forward to the future.
What have been the most significant breakthroughs during your time in the industry? Do you have a personal favourite?
One of the most significant breakthroughs I’ve witnessed in my time at JCM, and in the gaming industry overall, has been the successful roll- out and adoption of TITO (Ticket-In/Ticket-Out) technology. When I started in gaming over 30 years ago, casinos still relied on coins and bill
