Los dos operadores de casinos líderes de Chile, Sun Dreams and Enjoy, han presentado sus ofertas para la licencia necesaria para operar el emblemático casino de Viña del Mar. Sun Dreams envió dos proyectos a través de dos empresas, mientras que Enjoy, el operador actual, presentó solo uno.
La Lotería Nacional de Beneficencia y Salubridad de Bolivia (LONABOL) ha anunciado el lanzamiento de una lotería electrónica. Según su directora ejecutiva, Rossio Pimentel, la nueva lotería se pondrá en marcha en enero.
GAMING1 se ha convertido en la primera empresa internacional en obtener una licencia de casino y apuestas deportivas conforme al nuevo régimen legal de Colombia, en el marco de una empresa de capital conjunto al 50 % con el oper- ador local Vicca Group.

Te two top leading casino operators in Chile, Sun Dreams and Enjoy, have put forward their bids for the licence to run the emblematic Viña de Mar casino.
Sun Dreams submitted two projects through two companies, while Enjoy, the current operator, introduced one. Te casino is regularly one of the leading operators when it comes to gross gaming revenue and from January until August, the casino generated US$58.9m beaten only during this period by the Sun Monticello, which generated US$75.7m. It is the most popular of the seven municipal casinos - those casinos which were already in operation before 2005 when the government allowed for the construction of eighteen additional casinos.
Head of the Chilean Gaming control Board (SJC) Vivien Villagrán said: "Tis was a particularly attractive place, it's the place where we have the most operators making offers.”
Following the reception ceremony Gerardo Cood, Chief Executive Officer of Enjoy expressed his confidence in the future of the
casino: “It is an iconic casino, with a very high tax rate compared to the rest, but we see its potential, we see growth. We believe that it is a Region (the Valparaiso Region) which still lacks a lot of development and, therefore, knowing how it operates gives us many incentives to continue to operate," he said. However, he pointed out that while is was “an iconic casino from a results point of view it is not so great, so we are making an offer that satisfies us.”
According to Cood, the Viña de Mar casino makes up around 12 per cent of EBITDA for the company, the casino in Coquimbo makes up 15 per cent and its casino in Punta del Este in Uruguay makes up 35 per cent.
Te board will have a maximum of 120 days to review the offers. Tese evaluations will then be put forward to the Supervisory Council of the SJC, which will have forty days to ratify them or request their review. Once the evaluation is concluded, the SJC will issue its decision. Sun Dreams and Enjoy will also go head to head for the municipal licence for the casino located in Pucón currently run by Enjoy.

Bolivia to launch electronic lottery
Bolivia’s National Lottery Commission of Charity and Health (LONABOL) has announced that it will launch an electronic lottery. According to Executive Director Rossio Pimentel, the new lottery will be launched by January, and has already been given permission to operate by the Authority of Taxation and Social Control over Gaming (AJ).
Te official explained that in order to implement the electronic lottery, ticket vending machines will be installed in different parts of cities throughout the entire territory. In order to play customers will need
to choose 6 numbers out of a total of 49. A ticket will cost around US1.50. According to Pimentel, there will be a televised digitized draw every Friday and the lottery will offer an accumulated jackpot as well as other prizes. Te lottery has an initial budget of $b5m (around US$723,000.) which will be used for the acquisition of equipment and for marketing purposes.
Te official said that LONABOL raised $b8m up until August this year (around US$1.1m), and that the intention is to reach $b12m (approximately US$1.7m) by the end of the year. Pimentel expressed her hope that there would be no deficit for LONABOL this year because the National Lottery “works to save
