e-gaming has risen from zero to hero in the Spanish gaming market in just six years, having established key partners and created No.1 games


Te success story for e-gaming in the Spanish market was written in 2013 when the company established its joint company, e-gaming platforma Espana. Since then the company has certified its games in multiple regions and sited more than 6,000 machines in Spain


e-gaming’s success story in Spain started in 2013 with the formation of a joint company between three powerhouses of the European gaming industry, Belgium’s Unibox Group, Cocamatic of Spain and Czechia’s e-gaming. e-gaming Platforma Espana was formed to enable e- gaming to internationalise its domestic success in its home markets of Czechia and Slovakia, starting with the Spanish market.

Bringing all the elements together is Urbain Tewissen, whose export experience from over 25 years in the gaming distribution sector gathered all the different parties under one roof. Mr. Tewissen had started e-gaming’s international adventure in Mexico, the first market to experience the company’s server- based games. Building on this initial success, e-gaming saw opportunities in a Spanish market recovering from the effects of the financial crisis. It proved to be a shrewd move.


At the Feria Internacional del Juego in April, e- gaming confirmed it has supplied over 6,000 machines to the Spanish market across a number of the autonomous communities in the country. Having started in Murcia, e-gaming has the highest concentration of games in this region and is the No.1 provider of games to this autonomous community. Expanding into Aragon, Castile La Mancha, Castile Y Leon, Andalusia and most recently into Madrid, with a very large order of machines to be fulfilled in Madrid, the company is also waiting for confirmantio of a seventh region in the near future.


Speaking to Mr. Tewissen at the Madrid show he explained: “e-gaming’s products are performing extremely well in Mexico, Colombia and in both Class A and Class C machine categories in Panama. Our online gaming content is already proving to be a very successful complementary product and since adding markets such as Ireland, Belgium and Spain to the list of international countries supported by e-gaming, we have recorded exceptional growth in each market we have entered.”


e-gaming is working conscientiously to adapt its games to the rules and regulations of each market, ensuring that the core of its games remain the same, no matter the jurisdiction. It’s a methodology that’s proven so successful, full order books and resources are now the only things holding back this company from exponential growth in non-domestic markets.
