Review FERIA INTERNACIONAL DEL JUEGO
“Spain is a very important market for the Gauselmann Group, and one in which Merkur Dosniha and GeWeTe are extremely successful,“
explains Jürgen Stühmeyer, Gauselmann Group Management Board member responsible for Merkur Sales. “Taking place every two years, the Feria Internacional del Juego is the leading industry trade show in Spain and therefore an ideal platform for presenting our product portfolio, meeting customers and increasing awareness of our brands. Tis year, we also used the opportunity to take our Merkur Advisory Board, the Gauselmann Group’s informal advisory body, along to Merkur Dosniha‘s exhibition stand and demonstrate our commitment to Spain to them live.”
Merkur Dosniha presented three new products at the Feria Internacional del Juego: the new M-BOX TRIO EXCLUSIVA which, in addition to its 20 games, offers an extra thrill with the Merkur Magic common game displayed on the third screen – for at least three and up to 300 connected devices. Additionally, Merkur Dosniha showed the G-Box multigamer, which is aimed specifically at the needs of the bar and gastronomy market and in many European countries has been dubbed the ‘lean M-BOX’ thanks to its compact and ergonomically advanced design. Te G-Box comes with the successful games package “Rey de la Suerte”, comprising ten games. For the casino market, the Avantgarde Trio Black Series was presented for the first time, which features an 18- game games package developed especially for the Spanish market.
“We are extremely satisfied with the customer feedback we received at the Feria Internacional del Juego and are confident that our latest product offerings will again set new benchmarks in Spain,” says Carlos Chacón, CEO Merkur Dosniha.

event appearance at Feria Internacional del Juego In April, Merkur Dosniha and GeWeTe presented their newest product highlights for the Spanish market at the Feria Internacional del Juego in Madrid. At the IFEMA Convention Centre, the Gauselmann Group subsidiaries showcased the latest games, multigames and cash handling technologies ‘made in Germany’ on over 700 sq.m of exhibition space.
TITO (Ticket in, Ticket out) to in-payments and payouts of banknotes and coins, the money- changing systems offer a variety of possibilities for cash handling in arcades, casinos and sports betting outlets. Almost all GeWeTe products permit payments to be made by direct debit, credit card, contactless or with a PIN.
“We’re proud to have been able to offer TITO in
Spain and in many other European countries from the get-go. An extension of this is MARS, an established data capture and TITO system, to which more than 10,000 machines are already connected,” says Aristidis Tsikouras, Managing Director GeWeTe.
One of the highlights presented by GeWeTe at the Feria Internacional del Juego was the new Cash
Center Premium that was first presented at ICE in London at the beginning of the year. Te money- changing machine has an automated cash system capable of holding 12,000 banknotes. Te 27-inch touchscreen offers customers an intuitive user interface and allows corporate logos and advertising to be prominently placed. Feedback from trade fair visitors concerning the Cash Center Premium was, unsurprisingly, positive.
Apart from Merkur Dosniha and GeWeTe, the Gauselmann subsidiary edict eGaming (edict) also showcased its latest products. Te company specialises in the development and sales of games and turnkey system platforms for the online casino market and in addition to pure software licensing also provides a range of technical services for its customers.
printers as it allows operations to run at peak efficiency. Representing a 50 per cent improvement over current industry offerings, the Epic Edge’s 300 dpi print resolution delivers sharper barcodes for better ticket acceptance and drives a reduction in attendant calls, leading to a measurable improvement in slot floor performance. Epic Edge tickets also feature eye- catching, dynamic graphic images, making it ideal for implementation alongside bonusing applications such as Epicentral from TransAct. Te Epic Edge allows for firmware updates via a full speed USB 2.0 connection or directly via a micro SD card, driving increased convenience and making the process of updating firmware speedier than ever. Other features include a single rugged outer chassis with color coded rails, numerous port options (Serial, USB and Netplex), hot swap capability to eliminate game downtime, a faster ServerPort connection and an adjustable ticket bucket for standard and smaller tickets.
