Te gambling sector contributes a modest 0.8 per cent to the country’s GDP and gambling contributes to the state via two main channels – concession fees, which are levied on the concessionaire’s gross revenue, and also income tax and VAT, levied on the profits and players’ winnings. Te sector not only contributes to the treasury, but the law also divides the concession fees on games of chance via various channels.
