Location: Marina Bay, Singapore Casino Operator: Marina Bay Sands (Las Vegas Sands Corp) Estimated Opening: 2029
THE PROJECT Dubbed “Marina Bay Sands 2.0”, the expansion centres on a Fourth Hotel Tower and a mega-arena, augmenting the iconic trio of MBS towers. Te Tower 4 will be 55 stories tall and offer 587 all-suite rooms (scaled down from 1,000 planned earlier).
Proving to be another extraordinary feat of engineering, the new property is being designed by the acclaimed Safdie Architects, led by Moshe Safdie - the firm behind Marina Bay Sands’ world-renowned design. Te project will feature a soaring 570-suite luxury hotel tower capped with signature rooftop and dining experiences, luxury retail boutiques, gaming, holistic spa and wellness amenities, and approximately 200,000 square feet of premium meeting space.
Rotated at a 45-degree angle to frame panoramic views of both the Marina Bay and the Singapore Strait, the 55-storey hotel tower will rise with its twin wings curving outward as they ascend toward the sky. Situated adjacent to the hotel tower, the

podium serves as a hotspot for business, entertainment and cultural exchange.
At its core is a 15,000-seat state-of-the-art arena being helmed by global design firm Populous - responsible for some of the world’s most recognisable entertainment venues, including the Sphere in Las Vegas and the O2 Arena in London.
Te project also adds additional MICE space, new luxury retail, and dining/nightlife offerings integrated into the tower and podium. Development costs have more than doubled from the initial US$3.3bn estimated in 2019 due to factors such as inflation, the pandemic and higher labour and material costs, on top of Sands’ ongoing $1.35bn renovation of the existing MBS hotel towers.
WHAT'S THE LATEST? Te project is now expected to be completed by June 2030 with the estimated official opening set for January 2031, subject to approval from the Singapore government.
