ORLANDO, FL — nScrypt’s new “3Dn-Axis” Factory-in-a-Tool (FiT) achieves 3D manufacturing in six axes, and therefore enables digital manufac- turing in true 3D. With six-axis capability for all of its tool heads, nScrypt’s new FiT can micro dis- pense with its SmartPump™ tool head, 3D print with its 3Dn material extrusion tool head, mill or polish with its nMill tool head, and integrate elec- tronic components with its pick-and-place tool head in true 3D, not just in the x, y and z planes. For example, the nFD tool head can 3D print
the structure or housing of an electronic device, the SmartPump can dispense conductive traces, the pick-and-place tool head can add electronic components, and the milling tool head can give the
New Ultra Miniature MLCC
Inductors from AVX
FOUNTAIN INN, SC — AVX Corporation has released a new series of ultraminiature multi- layer ceramic chip inductors for high-frequency RF applications. The new LCCI series induc-
tors are currently available in three standard EIA chip sizes — 0201, 0402 and 0603 — with tight-tolerance physical dimen- sions almost exclusively in the submillimeter range. They have tin-plated sur-
face-mount terminations, ena - bling compatibility with high- density PCBs and reflow solder- ing in space- and weight-con- strained applications within the telecommunications and net- working markets, as well as with lead-free and RoHS directives. The series also delivers out-
standing reliability and perform- ance from 100 MHz to 2.4 GHz, exhibiting high Q, high signal efficiencies, low DC resistance (DCR), tight inductance toler- ances down to ±0.1 nH, and guar- anteed self-resonant frequencies (SRF) up to 10 GHz. Ideal applications include
mobile communications and com- puter networking systems, wire- less
large-area networks
(WLAN), radio-frequency identi- fication (RFID) systems, person- al handheld systems (PHS) rang- ing from smartphones and tablets to media players and gaming devices, and EMI coun- termeasures in high-frequency
circuits. Contact: AVX, Corp., One

device a fine surface finish, all in six axes. The system uses six axes of motion (three lin-
ear and three rotational) to achieve continuous five-axis printing. The six axes are the usual x, y and z, as well as RS, RT and RR. RS is the axis con- nected to the z stage, which spins the tool head. RT is the axis connected to RS, which tilts the tool
head. RR is connected to the bed and spins the bed. Contact: nScrypt, Inc., 12151 Research
