Integrating ERP with BPM Programmers Using an API

that also contains the APS work- flow instructions) that is stored on the customer’s server.
l Barcode Pressure Plate. Scan the barcode for the correct pressure plate for the sockets.
l Barcode Parts. Scan the received parts to ensure that they match the job.
l Barcode Quantity. Scan the correct batch quantity that is to be programmed.
l Verify Setup. The final screen before programming, the “Verify” screen ensures that everything is set up correctly. It verifies the socket modules, checks devices, checks that the pressure plates match those that are specified, and checks that the quantity is correct. On-screen field high- lighting of failed fields assists the user.
l Start Programming. When the verification passes, the job can begin.
This electronic checklist vir-
tually eliminates mistakes. If an incorrect barcode is received, the system returns an error message that allows the user to quickly correct the issue. Upon comple- tion of the job, the job summary log is saved to the electronic work order for review. It then automatically prints a sheet of labels with barcodes with the fol- lowing information: custom device reference, device quantity on the reel or tray, label number, job completed date, input media ID, and output reel ID. A specific barcode is gener-
ated so that the socket modules and pressure plates are moved from a production status to hold. Finally, the customer’s database is updated to indicate the correct quantity of finished devices are verified or scrapped and allocat- ed to appropriate stock locations. Also, BPWin can be used to
create custom inventory man- agement systems. Whether for IoT, Industry 4.0 or advanced traceability requirements, each device can carry a unique serial number that contains more information than a laser or inkjet marking. In addition, this allows for advanced security pro- tocols for data encryption. These scenarios offer a
glimpse of what is possible with an API that connects automated programmers with enterprise software. Often, operators pro- gramming devices may find some functionality that they wish existed, or identify a process that is overly repetitive or requires employee interaction. BPM is
available to assist anyone devel- oping an API or provide develop- ers with the framework to devel- op it themselves. Contact: BPM Microsystems,

thermal conductor, approaching 2,200 W/m-K, more than five times greater than copper. Diamond effectively channels heat from the resistive layer in the isolator to the metal wave- guide block, lowering operating temperatures. By pushing the limits of MMW technology, engineers are
laying the groundwork for the next wave of medical advance- ment that will help fight against future outbreaks and pandemics. Contact: Micro Harmonics,
