COLORADO SPRINGS, CO — Virtual Indus- tries is now offering a free 10-day trial demo program for users in the U.S. The company sells a complete range of vacuum tweezer handling solutions that can be tested for 10 days in the customer’s facility to determine if they will work for the required application. Most applications can be accommodated

with Virtual Industries’ wide selection of vac- uum tools and pick-up tips. A new unit will be sent for the trial, making it easy to pur- chase after the trial. As an option, those who like can send

samples of parts, along with a brief descrip- tion of the application to the Virtual Indus- tries’ technical applications department. The team will respond with a detailed pick-up tip

QUASYS Develops Large-Tray Conveyor Module

HÜNENBERG, SWITZERLAND — As the trays that handle elec- tronic components grow larger and there are more special for- mats and types, they can be diffi- cult to stack or arrange and un- wieldy to move.

TF3-HD conveyor module. QUASYS has developed its

TF3-HD, a large conveyor mod- ule with a usable area of 15.7 x 11.8 in. (400 x 300 mm). With this approach, larger trays can be processed as carriers of com- ponents. Another advantage of this ap-

proach is that it can accommodate different tray sizes and/or non- stackable thermoforming trays. Smaller trays are loaded into magazines by conveyor adapters. Thin trays remain flat and compo- nents can be easily removed. This solution provides the

necessary handling stability for less expensive thermoformed trays. For a smooth material flow, the barcodes on the front of the trays are read and processed by the control system. The trays are also suitable for a wide vari- ety of material flow concepts, from manual handling to supply-

ing processing stations by AGV. Contact: QUASYS AG,
