martin@youmail.com Disneyland Paris!
Hi Martin,
Great, great news! Mum and Dad have just told me that they are taking my sister Jill and me to Disneyland in Paris for the last two weeks in June - but that’s not the best part of it buddy – we can each bring a friend along because the deal is for a family with four kids and we have only two. You are my choice of friend, Martin, and you’d better get your parents to let you come along.
I know you’re probably thinking that Disneyland is more for little kids. We’re gone a bit beyond Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck at this stage of our lives – but think PARIS – think all those gorgeous-looking French girls working in Disneyland for the summer holidays! They might join us in the evenings for a bit of craic. Some of those thrill-seeking, roller-coaster rides could be even more thrilling with a few sweet French girls screaming with excitement as we all try out the high-octane top ten! I can nearly feel the adrenaline buzz already.
I wonder will they like my freckled face and red hair. It should make a change for them anyway and as you know, I’m dangerously handsome! Pity you’re so challenged in the looks department, but I’m sure we can get some poor soul to befriend you (just joking! calm down!).
Get in to your mum and dad right now Martin and ask them can you come. Promise them that you will swot your head off for the exams and get fabulous results. We’ll be back by the time the results come out, so no worries on that score. I’m going to do well in French, whatever about the rest of my subjects. I’m starting tonight on the vocab and phrases and I won’t stop until I’m fluent.
I expect to know soon as my mum is going to ring your mum tonight. If they refuse, act like you’re having a nervous breakdown, refuse to eat, don’t wash, mope around and fight with your sister and that awful brother of yours. They’ll crack and let you come with us - just for a few weeks of release from your rotten presence!
Au revoir, mon ami! Jack
