1. Imagine that John Mitchell calls over to Michael Barrett’s house after receiving the letter. Write out the conversation that takes place between them. Set your answer out in script format and indicate in brackets the appropriate use of body language, gestures etc. The opening lines are as follows:
JM: I received this letter (waving it in MB’s face) in this morning’s post and I must say that I’m very annoyed by your attitude to my dogs. What kind of dogs don’t bark? What’s all this talk of calling the Guards? (Aggressively stands with his arms folded and a scowl appearing on his face)
MB: (Speaking calmly and slowly) If you would read my letter properly, you would see that it’s the barking at night (with emphasis) that is the problem. (He opens door and politely gestures to JM to enter) Would you like to step into the house and we could perhaps discuss this civilly?
