Laboratory Products 41 Life Science Sample Tracking and Management

Ziath has published a new catalogue that provides an informative technical introduction to its extensive range of innovative readers, scanners, software, automated tube selectors and accessories for tracking and management of life science samples.

Over the last two decades, Ziath has established itself as a global leader for sample tracking of 2D barcoded tubes in applications including biobanking. compound management and COVID-19 patient sample management. All Ziath instruments are designed to integrate into existing workfl ows.

The company’s continual investment in R&D has revolutionised the way 2D barcoded tubes can be used and integrated into life science workfl ows. Ziath were fi rst to produce a camera-based scanner, fi rst to get the read time for ninety-six tubes down to under a second, fi rst to reliably read AcoustiX™ tubes, fi rst to use Artifi cial Intelligence to discern empty wells and fi rst to offer full network control of scanners from any connected PC, tablet, or phone on the same network.

The catalogue introduces Lux - the fi rst truly portable camera-based rack reader that can be used in the lab as well as in front of your freezers or store. Lux boasts an average 8-hour battery life in everyday usage, will re-charge fully overnight and yet be small and light enough to carry comfortably.

Drawing upon experienced staff in Europe, North America, and Asia, who understand the applications and challenges faced by users, Ziath are able to provide unparalleled technical support thereby ensuring customers can spend more time on their research and less time worrying about the location of their samples.

Isolation and Containment Technology for Research Applications

High Throughput Flow Reactor for Process Chemistry

The FlowSyn Maxi™ from Uniqsis is a high throughput fl ow reactor for process chemists looking to optimise reaction conditions before scaling-up synthetic production to multiple kilograms per day.

Combining the benefi ts of proven FlowSyn technology with the capability to run at high fl ow rates (up to 100 ml/min) in a compact benchtop design - the FlowSyn Maxi™ sets a new standard for higher throughput applications. Designed for ease of use the highly intuitive user software interface quickly guides you through the process for setting up a fl ow chemistry reaction. Once set up, FlowSyn Maxi automatically runs the experiment unattended, ensuring that critical parameters remain within defi ned limits.

FlowSyn Maxi™ is designed to carry out superheated reactions up to +260°C (1400 psi) and cooled reactions down to -70°C - making it one of the most versatile process scale fl ow reactors available. The robustly constructed system can be specifi ed in stainless steel or Hastelloy®

with larger bore inlet tubing and upgraded inlet/outlet solenoid valves with bigger fl uidic channels to cope with higher process scale fl ow rates.

Plas-Labs is celebrating 55 years of isolation and containment technology for research facilities and laboratories around the world. The company’s fi ne line of products include anaerobic chamber glove boxes, hypoxia chamber glove boxes, powder handling isolators, nitrogen dry boxes, analytical balance chambers, acrylic desiccator cabinets, PCR Chambers, ventilated balance enclosures and low velocity fume hoods, animal handling equipment for small animals, poultry isolation and intensive care units.

Many of the Plas-Labs’ products have been developed with leading researchers and top research facilities around the world. Plas-Labs’ products are easily designed and customised to accommodate your specifi c research needs. When you are ready to start your research, contact the creative team at Plas-Labs.

Plas-Labs’ European tech and distribution centre, located in The Netherlands, provides quicker and cheaper shipping of most Plas-Labs’ products for European customers. The technical centre and training facility allows Europeans customers to review Plas-Labs’ products before purchasing.

With over 85 distributors globally, Plas-Labs has been able to provide leading scientifi c research equipment to small and large laboratories around the world.

Quality research is like quality music… it should begin with fi ne equipment. Conception. Interpretation. Production. Satisfaction. Clearly your best choice.
