32 Rectangular Chamber Laboratory Autoclaves

The distinct advantage of Priorclave’s rectangular chamber autoclaves is simply the convenience of sterilising more in a single process, handling larger bulkier items with faster drying times. The EH450 and EH700 autoclaves are the largest models, with 450L and 700L sterilising chambers respectively. Both models are available in the new PERFORMANCE category of research grade autoclaves. They come equipped with steam/water-jackets creating a fast-to-heat and fast-to-cool cycle. This enables the autoclaves to produce drier loads more quickly and reliably and at lower cost than many comparable sterilisers, allowing even modest labs access to the highest capacity and performance steam autoclaves available.

The capability of these latest rectangular chamber autoclaves will appeal to organisations such as research establishments, colleges and universities, industrial, and quality assurance facilities, laboratories where high-throughput sterilising is required.

Access to the sterilising chamber is through a large rectangular door fitted with a three-wheel locking mechanism. The lower handwheel is fitted with thermal and pressure locks to prevent opening at load temperature above 80°C and pressures above 0.2 bar. In addition to this key safety feature, they have epoxy coated panels and frame members treated with an anti-bacterial agent which is effective against all bacteria and fungi including MRSA. This helps prevent cross contamination in laboratories.

There are three other models in this range, starting with chamber sizes from 230 and are among the most efficient on the market, as well as the easiest to service and most reliable. It’s a range that offers long-term reliability.

These research grade autoclaves are in integral part of Priorclave’s new groups created to help customers identify the most appropriate category for their applications. Other models in the rectangular autoclave range start from 230L chambers.

All models are available electrical heated with the element contained within the actual chamber, alternatively they can be installed ready for direct-steam source heating. Priorclave’s standard line of rectangular autoclaves are among the most efficient on the market, as well as the easiest to service and the most reliable. Vertical Air Receivers for Immediate Delivery

Hi-line Industries now offers its range of class-leading Vertical Air Receivers from stock to help factories and plants quickly take advantage of these innovative devices. Hi-line’s high-quality painted and galvanised vessels are available immediately at extremely competitive prices.

Hi-line’s Vertical Air Receivers can reduce the load/unload cycles on the system compressor, potentially extending its service life and reducing maintenance/repair. Introducing an air receiver tank markedly improves the energy efficiency of a compressed air system, typically by reducing any wasted compressed air from excessive sump blowdowns and lowering the pressure requirements for the air compressor and air network. All of these benefits contribute to lower total cost of ownership.

Four sizes of Hi-line Vertical Air Receiver are in stock at to suit virtually any application: 300, 500, 1000 and 2000 litre variants. Immediate shipping or collection is available from the company’s UK headquarters and manufacturing facility.

A core component of Hi-line’s Vertical Air Receiver is the company’s Activated Carbon Tower, which contains either zeolite minerals or carbon to suit the suit the application. Activated Carbon Towers adsorb contaminants like oil vapour and odour, making them an increasingly popular addition to compressed air circuits, particularly in sectors that demand high purity levels, such as food and beverage, oxygen/nitrogen generation, electronics, pharmaceuticals, and healthcare. It is possible to achieve ‘technically oil free air’ without the expense of an ‘oil free’ compressor, which in some applications is a requirement.

All of the Vertical Air Receivers in stock at Hi-line are PED compliant to 2016/68/EU and powder-coated in compressed air blue (RAL 5015). Built by robots to ensure consistent, high-quality welding, the vessels are extremely robust in design and come with a 10-year warranty. 5mm plate and fittings are present throughout the build, ensuring that the Vertical Air Receivers are double the weight (pro rata) of standard catalogue vessels.

Hi-line’s Vertical Air Receivers offer 11 bar working pressure. However, the company can manufacture high-pressure vessels up to 400 bar, as well as customised tanks and vessels in any colour or design code in line with customer requirements. Hi-line can also supply the vessels with or without fitting kits to suit individual preference. Gauge and drain are included, along with a safety valve to suit the operating pressure.

Ziath announce Cyclops, a camera-based linear and 2D barcode reader for its popular DataPaq™ Mirage, Cube and Express rack readers. Cyclops is designed to accurately read linear or 2D codes printed on the edge of tube racks. This enables laboratories to use racks without an integral ‘97th code’ or orientation barcode on the underside, a useful capability as not all rack manufacturers provide these features. The Cyclops also illuminates the side of your barcoded rack during read, ensuring an accurate rack read under all lighting conditions.

Beneficially the Cyclops is also able to read barcodes on racks of different size, and with variations in the location of the printed code on larger racks without requiring any adjustment, thereby saving you time and eliminating reading errors.

Using Ziath’s powerful DP5 high-speed rack decoding software an attached Cyclops reader can be selected as on or off according to the rack type in use. Additionally, DP5 provides facility to store three different rack templates for each numeric format. For example, 96-position racks with no rack code, an integral orientation code or to use the Cyclops device to read rack barcode. This advanced capability allows organisations to use racks from different manufacturers and switch easily between them including legacy racks that have neither code.

New High-capacity PCR Chamber

Plas-Labs has recently developed a new larger PCR Chamber with many unique features. This PCR Chamber has the largest culture plate capacity available at 200+. It is lightweight and easy to relocate in the laboratory as necessary.

With a built in spill containment base and increased UV sterilisation, the PCR Chamber also features HEPA filtration and eight adjustable plate shelves, some tooled for pipettor storage. The ‘bright light’ illumination system has a 40,000 hour work life.

For operator safety the front doors have proximity sensors and are easily removable if not needed. An automatic UV timer is easily activated to suit the operator test requirements.

The unit is economically priced and includes a two year limited warranty. More information online: ilmt.co/PL/RM6g
