o, what are the secrets to their success? It’s true that our sunny Isle has 15% more sunlight on average than anywhere else in the UK,
making it the perfect growing ground for sweet, full-flavoured tomatoes. However, they say it’s also about varietal selection when picking the best tomatoes. Opting to grow up to 200 varieties a year in the search for the perfect tomatoes, flavour is king!
The diversity found in their fresh tomatoes has inspired a range of products that encapsulates that authentic tomato taste, all made with 100% Isle of Wight tomatoes. Pure tomato juices and passata that contain no nasties, only the good stuff, are amongst the most popular.
Word soon spread about these sunshine fruits and today The Tomato Stall teams up with tomato juice
powerhouses Turner Hardy, a two- man team bringing tomato juice back into the spotlight and now available in over 400 Sainsburys stores. Plus, most recently they’ve been working with Pipers crisps to create the tangy and rich Arreton tomato crisp for a wholly British treat.
