Maria Ward has been painting the Isle of Wight and its people for the last 25 years. This will be her first exhibition since her solo exhibition at Quay Arts in 2005. Maria works primarily on location. She aims to add a bit of fun and capture the life and humour of the seaside, as well as stormy grey days with wild waves. Her work is predominantly created with a fine-liner or dip pen and coloured using artist’s watercolours with a sable brush.

The exhibition ‘A Holiday Island’ is shared with Island photographer Ian Moody.
