Oktoberfest
Date: 4th October, from 6pm Venue: Puckpool Park
An evening full of traditional Bavarian drinks, food, music, entertainment and an Oompah Band. Serving authentic German Beers and traditional food, including Pretzels, Bratwursts, Roast Chicken Schweinshaxe, Sauerkraut and more. Staff will be dressed in traditional Lederhosen attire — guests are encouraged to join in too.

Isle of Wight Literary Festival

Harp on Wight International Festival
Date: 25th - 29th October Venue: Ryde Methodist Church
Over the past five years this event has developed a global reputation by attracting international harpists from a diverse range of styles to perform concerts and lead teaching workshops. During the daytime, there is also a wonderful free exhibition of harps made by national harp manufacturers and sheet music, CDs and harp accessories are also available to purchase. Fleet Street Photographers Exhibition
Date: 26th October - December 31st Venue: Dimbola Lodge, Freshwater
Five leading Fleet Street photographers have united to produce an exhibition of some of their work. Bob Allot, David White, John Cleave, Larry Ellis and Mike Maloney are best known for careers with some of the most prestigious national newspapers and magazines.

Black Tie Celebrity Dinner in aid of Mountbatten Hospice
Date: 13th December Venue: Royal Hotel, Ventnor
Tickets are £80 a head to include a champagne reception followed by a delicious three course dinner and music. Jess Conrad OBE will be making a personal appearance, plus a few surprises on the night.
There will be a wonderful raffle (more prizes would be much appreciated, as well as any auction gifts).
