The Isle of Wight is an amazing place, filled with diverse and remarkable places to go, stay and eat. These are enjoyed by over 2 million visitors a year (as well as 140,000 of us locals), and the strength of Isle of Wight tourism businesses puts us up with the top destinations in the UK

ver the past seven years, Red Funnel have celebrated the very best of the Island with the “myIsleofWight Awards”; the only “Visitor
Voted” tourism awards, with 20+ winners each year in an array of unique categories. Previous winners have included many of the Island’s top businesses and events including Tapnell Farm, Ventnor Fringe, The Garlic Farm, Walk the Wight and The Royal Hotel.
For 2020 the Awards are being revamped; Style of Wight is playing a key role as media partner as the event looks to reward more businesses than ever before, and for the first-time locals are encouraged to vote along with visitors.
The “Red Funnel Isle of Wight Awards” will introduce simplified categories to bring them in line with nationally recognised awards, along with new awards such as “Best Place for Dogs”, “Greenest Business”, and “Best Newcomer” for newly emerged tourism businesses.
There will be three winners in each category, awarded as Gold, Silver and Bronze, who will be placed by a judging panel from a shortlist created

by a public vote. In addition to their Awards, each winner will be provided with various assets and associated coverage to help them raise their profile.
Nominations are now open for the Red Funnel Isle of Wight Awards, and businesses and events have until 1st November 2019 to put themselves forward for the public voting, which starts on 8th November. The Awards will take place in March 2020.
