rossing the Solent, Bath is just a 1hour 45minute pleasant drive from Lymington. Arriving in the City is something quite


incredible, like arriving in a Jane Austen novel; a vision of stunning honey-coloured Georgian architecture.


Start the day with a visit to Café au Lait


As soon as our overnight bags were left at the hotel, we discovered a convenient hot-spot for breakfast: Café au Lait, an independent family- run coffee house located close to the train station offering a large, freshly made brunch menu.

Hit the shops for some retail therapy


The compact city centre offers a vibrant shopping scene packed with high street brands and retailers as


well as one of-a-kind independent boutiques. We found a maze of intriguing alleyways and picturesque passages surrounding Bath Abbey, lined with stores selling everything from confectionery to fashion.


Bath’s Georgian past and today’s modern architecture blend together in the streets around Milsom Place. You’ll find high-street flagship stores alongside inviting boutiques packed with quirky goodies. There’s also Jolly’s, the UK’s oldest department store, open since 1831, home to a huge collection of stylish fashion brands.
