Abbey Hotel, Bath - centrally located and a perfect place to explore from
We stayed at the Abbey Hotel, a charming boutique hotel in the heart of Bath, home to the first joint venture between culinary legends Pierre Koffmann and Marco Pierre White. The bedrooms are individually decorated, with comfortable seating areas which had plenty of space to relax in. It goes without saying that we were looking forward to dining in the restaurant, which consists of a brasserie-style eatery offering a mix of English and French classics.

Having never tried Vietnamese food, this little gem of a restaurant run by Noya (above) herself certainly took us on a wild journey exploring different layers of aromatic flavour, spice and fresh herbs. We sat in a charming pebbled garden decorated with home-grown flowers and brightly coloured furniture – a hidden oasis on a warm sunny day. These guys really are doing everything right - from the knowledgeable, enthusiastic staff to the intricate detail that goes into the Vietnamese food – this is a real highlight and very popular with locals.
