Finance firm to create new Asian market opportunities
Birmingham city centre-based Bracebridge Corporate Finance has launched a new venture with a Singapore research company. The alliance will see Bracebridge
teaming up with Converging Knowledge, to offer research on mergers and acquisitions (M&A), aimed at Asian buyers of UK businesses. The research will also help UK
companies looking to enter the Asian market. Bracebridge managing director
Andy Moore said: “We have known Converging Knowledge for many years and I have personally worked with Dr Janet Huang, founder of the Singapore based company. “The key to any successful M&A
transaction is knowledge of local companies and markets. Converging Knowledge have in-depth knowledge of the Asian markets. “They can conduct feasibility
studies to help UK-based companies looking to enter or make an acquisition in an Asian market and have local knowledge of businesses for sale in the region. They also have
access to Asian buyers seeking acquisitions in the UK.” Mr Moore has personal
experience of the Asian market, having worked in Singapore for accountancy giant PwC. He said: “We are seeing an
increasing number of buyers from South East Asia. We can now offer support to any UK-based companies looking to develop or expand their business in Singapore or the wider Asia Pacific region.
“Similarly, we can offer our
clients who are looking to sell a UK-based business access to Asian buyers through its alliance with Converging Knowledge.” Dr Huang, principal of Converging
Knowledge, said: “This is a logical extension of our service offering. We now have a presence across the region, including Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong, and are excited about the prospect of working with UK-based companies.”

Buzzing at 25 year milestone
A Jewellery Quarter-based promotional products supplier is celebrating its 25th anniversary. Beeline Promotional
Products Ltd, based in Tenby Street North, was founded in 1993 by Peter Welch, who is the company’s current managing director. Beeline supplies more than
15,000 product lines, ranging from pens, keyrings or mugs, through to specially created bespoke items. Mr Welch said: “I am
personally very proud of the last 25 years. When Beeline started I naturally had great hopes for the future but no idea that it would develop into the business it is today. “There have of course been
ups and downs along the way but I’m certain all companies can say the same. “To be here 25 years on and
in a stronger position than we’ve ever been is a huge achievement and one I’m extremely grateful for to our loyal customers, suppliers and above all – the staff.”
