43 Youghal Vintage Day in aid of Cork ARC Cancer Support House

A great day was had by all at the annual Youghal Vintage Day in Farrell’s Summer- field Bar last Sunday, 12 August. Bouncy slides, carousels and a fancy dress competi- tion kept children well entertained, while the amazing dog show, food stalls, music by Liam Cantillon and
motors from every era occupied the adults. The winner of the overall dog show was “Leo”, an American Akita, with “Boo”, a black Labrador getting the rosette for second place.
Next to the dog show were lines of vintage tractors and cars of all ages and descriptions with people milling around between them admiring the variety. Youghal’s new reigning Queen of the Sea, Chloe Dempsey is
taking to her public duties and was present enjoying the festivi- ties. A wheelbarrow hamper filled with goodies was the first prize in the raffle, and the lucky winner was Kay O’Driscoll from Ballymacoda.
Funds raised during the year will be presented to Cork ARC Cancer Support House in Youghal on Saturday, 15 December at the Club’s Annual Social in the Walter Raleigh Hotel.
