introduced an environmentally friendly system that collects and filters the debris before emptying the water back into the river. Using a special filter bund arrangement, it collects and retains the copper (from the boat’s antifouling) so that it is not deposited in the river where it can damage marine life etc. Tests have shown that the water returned to the river has less copper in it than the fresh water available on the site. Boats are stored ashore in winter and throughout the year for maintenance and repairs. Darthaven has built a reputation for looking after you and your boat when ashore – boats are safely and securely chocked, a wide range of on-site facilities are available including a well stocked chandlery and a quality hard standing surface with water and electricity. Demand from non berth-holders for
storage ashore to do maintenance, repairs and pre-season preparation is always strong once the boats of berth-holders, ashore over the winter, are returned to the water around February and March. Owners are recommended to book well in advance to arrange a slot that best suits them. Storage ashore (2018) is £7/metre (+vat) per week (normal package of lift out, pressure wash, 1 weeks storage and relaunch is £42/ metre + vat). Lift, block and cradle is
normally £19/metre and £16/metre for relaunch (+ vat).
