News From Cuddles Day Nurseries... At Canford Heath,


The summer of 2017 has certainly been one to remember here at Cuddles Day Nurseries.


Not only were we awarded outstanding by Ofsted across all three sites, we also received a grant of over £500k as part of the government’s Capital Grant Award. The funding was awarded for expansion as part of the initiative to offer parents 30 hours per week free childcare.


Extensive refurbishment and renovation has taken place at our Canford Heath and Parkstone sites. In


Parkstone, we have had a new building,


plus we’ve upgraded and replaced furniture, computers and the whole playground area. As advocates of outdoor play in all weathers, part of the renovations have included the installation of canopies around the whole building so that the

extra rooms, new fl ooring, renovation of four classrooms and communal areas. We’ve


also installed an allotment area


where the children are encouraged to help grow their own vegetables.


In total, Cuddles is fortunate to have invested a massive £1,082,540 in both nurseries – almost half of which was funded through grants to support the 30 hours free funding. This reinvestment allows us to ensure that your children have a safe, secure and nurturing environment to develop in whilst in our care using the latest technologies and some of the best educational equipment available for pre-
