Bridal retailer joins the club


The Mailbox will soon be adding The Wedding Club to its collection of luxury stores. Opening later this year, The


Wedding Club is one of the UK’s leading bridal retailers, and features some of the most exclusive British and international designers for fashion conscious brides. It was established in 2011 by Birmingham-born directors Clare Thompson and Emma Clarke, who now run stores across Birmingham, London Knightsbridge and Kensington. The Wedding Club will be


moving from its current location on Edgbaston’s Highfield Road to the Mailbox. Clare Thompson, director at


The Wedding Club, said: “We wanted to find a location in Birmingham that was in- keeping with our brand, and with its high end stores and fabulous bars and restaurants, the Mailbox was the perfect fit. We’re very excited to be joining the likes of Harvey Nichols, Armani Collezioni and Gieves & Hawkes and can’t wait to open later this year.”

Birmingham’s retail offering looks forward to the future


It’s been a busy few months at


both Bullring and Grand Central with a host of new stores opening their doors. Last month alone at Bullring we welcomed Russell & Bromley and Coach to the Upper East Mall, while Jacamo opened a unit on Upper West Mall. The landscape of the Upper East


Mall has changed over the past three years with brands such as Whistles, Michael Kors and Ted Baker all opting to take premium space on the mall alongside Selfridges. Both Russell & Bromley and Coach have joined the line-up with their first stores in the region bringing with them luxury product ranges in a quality setting. In another first, we recently


welcomed Volkswagen to the centre with its first retail store in the UK on Lower East Mall. The unique shop fit showcases the brand’s in-car technology, advanced features and eye- catching styling displayed by three cars, which are featured in-store and regularly refreshed. Meanwhile at Grand Central,

Indian street food restaurant, Mowgli, has chosen the centre as its location for the brand’s debut Birmingham restaurant. The 364sq ft restaurant, which is due to open later this autumn, joins the likes of Pho and Tapas Revolution. The LinkStreet mall, which is


located on the walkway between the two centres, continues to be a focus for brands looking to establish themselves in the market. Cereal Killer Café is proving a huge


hit with shoppers, with customers trying the brand’s unique cereal offering throughout the day. Our Centre Car Park, which is


located underneath the footprint of Bullring’s mall, has recently undergone major refurbishment offering the latest in car park technology. Customers using the award-winning facility can now take advantage of bay monitoring technology and dynamic digital wayfinding providing real-time space availability data. It is important for us to continue to reinvest in facilities at our centres to ensure we are offering our customers the very best experience. As we now look ahead to the


final few months of the year and retail’s busiest period, we believe both centres are in a strong position housing key retail players. Between both schemes we offer an unrivalled experience for customers and are confident that our tenant mix will continue to attract shoppers from throughout the region and beyond.
